a third-party indicator vendor advised me to install ninjatrader on a hard disk other than the one on which windows is installed.
Because there would be some problems with his strategy if ninjatrader was installed on the same hard disk as windows.
Can you confirm that in general it is recommended to install ninjatrader on another hard disk or another partition of the windows disk?
Is this good practice?

Thank you very much for your post.

As the installation only affects the location of the executables, sound files, and other default files, the location of the installation folder should not affect the platform directly.

NinjaTrader keeps all workspaces, settings, strategies, and temporary files in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 folder, I suspect the vendor might have referred to this folder instead.

However, it would require a change of the location of the Documents folder to move this folder to a different drive, as it would always be created in Windows' default Documents folder.
