Questions regarding to Auto Breakeven and Auto Trail

I am new to this platform and would like some clarifications regarding to both Auto Breakeven and Auto Trail.
Auto Breakeven:
If I put 1 in the plus/offset parameter, it will move my stoploss to Breakeven +1 tick when trigger if I am long. What about short? Does it know to move my stoploss to Breakeven -1 if I am shorting? Or do I need to create another custom ATM with -1 parameter for short?
Auto Trail:
In a 2/3 step setup, Is 0 a valid parameter I can use for Frequency? Meaning It will only happen once and not repeat again, and wait for the next step to trigger?
