Charts re-positioning/re-adjusting when closing and re-opening the software?

    Hello everyone,

I like to adjust/compress/scroll the x-axis of my charts to contain a specific amount of data.

For example, I may stretch it such that it's showing only 2 weeks of data.

And I'd like it to look exactly like that when opening my software again.

However, it seems like every time I exit and open Ninjatrader the charts will somehow "reset" such that they do not look exactly like I left them.

A minor annoyance only, but would be great to avoid this.

Am I the only one having this issue? Is there a solution?

If yes and if not, I would please ask if this is something you could consider fixing.

    Thank you.

    Johnny

    Hello Johnny,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I am seeing that this behavior is expected when restarting and also when re-connecting to a live data feed.

Unfortunately there is no solution or work-around for this behavior at the moment.

Per your request, I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team and will follow up with an internal tracking number for your reference as soon as it is created.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

This is what I do to preserve the order of charts on the taskbar and also the time frames on the charts when closing and re-opening NT8. Worked on NT7 as well.

        1. Click and maximize each chart you have open, in order, from left to right on the taskbar.
        2. Clck the Control Center window to maximize it. I have my Control Center window 1st in the taskbar.
        3. Hit the X on Control Center window to close NT8.
        4. Click Yes to save workspace.

Everything should open the same as at close next startup. It works almost all the time for me. Occasionally charts get re-ordered on the taskbar but time frames are almost always are preserved.

If you're scrolling the chart to the past so that the white arrow appears on the top right, this does NOT preserve that position.
