NT8 doesn't start again

    NT8 doesn't start again

    This is super frustrating BTW. Every few attempts of compiling my code hangs NT8. Then I have to restart NT8.. Sometimes it starts up just fine and other times (like now) it refuses to start. I keep getting cannot load custom assembly issue. In past when I had this, I could just either backup my Config.xml or remove Custom/bin and Custom/obj folders and it used to work. It's not working anymore. I also tried to rename the SQLite DB file and it didn't help.

    Searching some more in this forum, told me that I need to re-install. This is not optimal. I have a lot of things installed and I need to re-install everything or do surgical backup restures.. Its going to now take the rest of my afternoon to get me back to where I was 15mins ago.

    Can someone please help me restore my NT so I don't have start from scratch -- AGAIN.

    Thanks for your post.

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.?.?.?)

    Are you using Visual Studio for editing NinjaScripts? If so, are you making sure to NOT run or build the solution in Visual Studio?

    Please share a screenshot of the full error message so we may see what you are seeing.
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
    ​We recommend frequently backing up your NinjaTrader platform to a backup file by going to Tools > Export > Backup file. By doing so you could import the backup file if you were to ever need to reinstall the platform.
