Is the sim account live data?

I am new to creating and testing ninja scripts. I am running my bot on a sim account, its a new account. I have not purchased any real time data, does this mean my sim account is operating on delayed data? If so, can I assume its being bought at the delayed price? I would be fine with this as long as the second question is a yes, which I would believe to be true. I just dont want to pay for the live data if I dont have a need for it yet. If someone is able to link me to any documentation that would also be helpful. Thanks!

Look at the time on your chart, is it the time right now (live)? Or is it 10 minute delayed time?

To clarify, what data feed are you connected to in the Control Center > Connections menu?

When you start up NinjaTrader, connect to a connection, and open a New > Chart window, do you see a message in the Log tab of the Control Center stating the data for the instrument is delayed?

You could consider enabling the 'Multi-provider' option in the Tools > Options > General Tab, restarting NinjaTrader, and then connecting to the 'Simulated Data Feed' connection to test your script on simulated data. The Simulated data feed connection will automatically use the last price from the last connection as the starting price for the instrument and the data provided will be randomized.

Something you could consider doing is downloading Market Replay data in the Tools > Historical Data window to test a NinjaScript indicator or strategy you created using the Playback connection.
