    I cannot import indicators

Hi. My computer shut down and when I opened ninjatrader 8 it was without charts. I restored the last workspace and the charts work fine. But when I try to install an indicator I get an error and it does not let me. Checking the error is that it does not find some indicators that were in the restored workspace but do not exist in the computer at the moment. I try to reinstall the indicators in ninja but it does not let me because it says that those indicators are missing and I am in a loop from which I do not know how to get out. How can I do it?

    Hello julifro,

    Thank you for your post!

This message indicates that there are NinjaScript errors on your platform that need to be resolved before you can import or edit any others. To begin resolving this, do the following:
    • Go to the Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor
    • Right-click in the NinjaScript Editor > select 'Compile'
You should see some errors in orange appear at the bottom of the window. Expand this window so that as many of these error messages, if not all of them, are visible. Please send us a screenshot of these errors, and we will be able to send you the steps to resolve them.

A visual walkthrough of this process along with solutions to common compile errors may be found here in our Help Center.

To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool - Click here for detailed instructions

Thank you in advance. We look forward to assisting you further.

Of the indicators that appear, I only have ninzabarstatus installed. I don't have the others installed. Thank you.

        Hello julifro,

        Thanks for your response.

This error is caused when NinjaTrader is searching for a reference to a .dll file, and the reference does not exist.
        1. Right-click within the NinjaScript Editor window and select "References".
        2. Click "Add".
        3. Locate the .dll file for the file mentioned in the error.
        4. Click "Open" to add the reference.
        5. Click "OK" and recompile.
        6. Repeat for any additional files mentioned
        A video demonstration of this process is publicly available at the link below;

This video demonstrates how to resolve the ‘Are you missing an assembly or reference’ compile error in NinjaTrader 8.

Please let us know if we may assist you any further.
