what is instrument name for 'continuous ES futures contract'?

I can enter instrument 'ES 06-24', but not ES!, which is the name for the 'continuous contract'. (At least, that is the instrument name on TradingView).

Is there a way to chart using the continuous contract? (not the ones that rollover quarterly)

Thank you for the message.

The limiting factor would be if your data provider sends Continuous Contract data in the first place. For example, this isn't included with data from NinjaTrader.

If you had a provider like Kinetick that sends Continuous Contract data, then you could load in a chart for it by putting in XX-XX for the contract.

• The XX-XX is used to denote the Continuous contract
• For example, NQ XX-XX or ES XX-XX would load in the continuous contract for that instrument.

If you put ES XX-XX into the Instrument selector and press Enter and then nothing loads in, your data provider isn't sending Continuous Contract data. If the data provider isn't sending the data, there isn't anything the NinjaTrader platform can do to change that.

• You would have to reach out to the other data providers and ask them if they provide continuous contracts with their data.
