Please Check you Account Connection Parameters and Internet Connection

I keep getting the above fault message when attempting to connect my Rithmic account to NinjaTrader. I have never had a problem in the past and i am using the same computer. Anyone got any advice?

    Welcome to the forums!

It's the weekend, so you might need extra patience.

    Why? What's happening?
Probably server maintenance, which is unannounced,
but typically occurs when markets are closed.

Try again Sunday afternoon when markets re-open.

          Hello MacDad ,

          Thank you for reaching out.

That error message usually occurs when trying to connect to a Rithmic evaluation account.

As each evaluation service may have its own connection settings, please let us know who your account provider is and we will try to help you with further instructions.

From my experience it usually comes down the "System" setting in the Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection configuration being set incorrectly, or if RTrader Pro is not launched / set up correctly.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

              Hello MacDad,

Thank you very much for your message.

For your reference, we did receive reports of issues with Apex and Rithmic. Their login/connection issues should be resolved as of today.

To be sure it is not a platform issue, I recommend you recreate the connection.

Please follow these instructions step by step.

              1. First, you will need to completely remove the Apex-Rithmic connection from your platform.

              - Go to the Connections menu--> select Configure--> Under the "Configured Menu" highlight the Rithmic connection/Apex connection--> click on Remove/Remove --> Apply--> OK
              - Shut down NinjaTrader 8

              2. Now set up your RTrader Pro.

Rithmic Trader Pro should be running and connected before the "Rithmic for my NinjaTrader Brokerage" connection will be successful within NinjaTrader.

Please follow these steps:You must run Rtrader and then try to connect within NinjaTrader 8.

              3. Now Open NT8 once again, go to Connections -> configure -> and you are going to add the Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection once more.

*Put in your Apex username and Password (NO SPACES) & DO NOT check the "Plugin for mode for market data" box.

In your Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection configuration, make sure to select the "System" as"Apex"
Now click Apply -> OK -> return to Connections and click on the one you just created again to try to connect.

For more information, please see this direct link to the guide from Apex:

Please let us know the results of this, and let us know if you have any other questions.

                  Hello loganjarosz123,

                  Thank you for your post.

The most common thing I have seen when this happens when trying to connect to Rithmic-Apex, is the "System" being selected in the connection settings.

Go to Connections -> configure and in your Rithmic connection settings for NinjaTrader Brokerage, be sure to select the "System" as "Apex".

Here is a screenshot for reference:

Also be sure to go to Tools, and uncheck "global simulation mode" if it is checked.

Please make sure RTrader Pro is running and test the connection.

For more information, please see this direct link to the Apex guide:

If this does not resolve the connection error:

If your account is active and your credentials are correct, you will be able to connect using the steps below.

Please follow these instructions step by step:

*This time, put in your Apex username and Password (No Spaces), and DO NOT check the "Plugin for mode for market data" box.

*In your Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage connection configuration, make sure to select the "System" as"Apex"

Now click Apply -> OK -> return to Connections and click on the one you just created again to try to connect.
