    Suggestion: Strategy Builder, Optional UI setting to "Bars Ago"

    Don't need a response, just a thought. This is readily hard-coded, but would possibly be a good feature to add 'Set' to the General setting of bars ago in the Conditions and Actions Window. Ran into an interesting scenario evaluating trend whereupon current volatility or range can be a consideration. Being able to set the bars ago utility in the user interface could be handy.

    Could you please provide us with more information on the feature you are requesting so we may accurately assist?

    Are you referring to adding an option in the Strategy Builder for checking if a certain number of bars have been loaded on the chart before the strategy begins calculations?

    For example, setting a value of 10 for this setting would check if 10 bars are loaded on the chart before the script begins calculations.

      Sure...

      1.Open Strategy Builder.
      2. Create a new Strategy.
      3. Click through to the Conditions and Actions Window.
      4. Click Add.
      5. Double click on Indicator.
      6. Choose (for example here) SMA
      7. Note now you have options to play with.
      8. The first is data series, the next is General, where you see Bars Ago.
      9. The idea here is to allow for a user interface setting here whereupon the numerical value of bars ago is adjustable as a user parameters setting. Currently this is only a hard number one adds in...
