eSignal stops allowing 3rd party software from using its feed??

I just called eSignal to clarify if I could use eSignal as the datafeed for NinjaTrader. I was told that a new policy was being introduced and that shortly eSignal would not allow 3rd party software to access the eSignal feed.

Unfortunately, the customer service rep had no details, other than to say that eSignal might work as a feed for other trading platforms, but it won't be long before access to the feed is blocked.

Does anyone know about this and have any details?

Thank you for your post.

We haven't received any official word from eSignal on this matter. If they were to stop supporting third party platforms, that would be unfortunate but out of our hands. If you find that our connection ceases to work and eSignal confirms that they have ended access, please let us know. In the event that we do not hear from them regarding this, this will help us to modify our documentation and update our users. Furthermore, I will see if there's any information that we can get internally regarding this.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to let you know if the connection no longer works. It was a pre-sales telephone call. Perhaps some other eSignal users can let the forum know if they encounter problems in using eSignal as a feed.
