Taking partial profits of half a contract?

The rules of the Topstep funded account I am trading allows me to have a maximum lot size of 2, regardless of whether I am trading the E-mini (ES) or the Micro E-mini (MES). Since 2 contracts on the MES would make my position size far too small, I am forced to trade on the ES. However, trading 2 contracts on the ES makes my position size too large relative to the 'Maximum Drawdown' that I have to adhere to to prevent my Topstep account being terminated.

My strategy involves taking partial profits of half of the position at a first target, and then taking partial profits of the remaining half at a second target.

My question is: Is there a way to take partial profits of half of 1 contract?

I have looked around but can't find an answer. If so, then I would be able to enter my trade at a lot size of only 1 contract and then take partial profits of 0.5 at the first target, and partial profits of the remaining 0.5 at the second target.

I am using NinjaTrader8 [version 8.1.1.6 64-bit]. This would be a game changer for me, thank you for your help.

    Hello,

Unfortunately futures trading does not allow partial contracts, all orders must be for a minimum of 1 contract.

      Holy cow!

As a user of several competing prop firms that do not have
this limitation, I recoiled at reading this.

There are better choices in the prop-firm marketplace.

When your entire trading methodology is being affected by
such limitations, you should re-investigate your goals and
re-align them with your prop-firm, or seek a different prop
      firm with a better fit.

Your complaint and your hope for a workaround obviously
suggests the latter is the wiser move.

Stop being the cause of your own grief.

      Just my 2˘.
