    NT Editor not finding VS Code 2022 and I can't find 'Attach to process' in VS Code

    Hello,

    I get the following error message when clicking on the VS Code button.

    Click image for larger version

Name:	image.png
Views:	356
Size:	3.2 KB
ID:	1290040

    I've restarted, repaired (using NT install and windows repair program features), uninstall and reinstall VS Code but nothing works. NT still not finding VS Code
    So, I have opened the custom folder manually, but I can't find out where is the 'Attach to process' setting in VS Code 2022 as explain here: NinjaTrader 8 . There is no 'Debug' menu and in Ctrl+Shift+P as well

    Please help.

    Hello tardi44,

    NinjaTrader does not use VSCode, it uses Visual Studio which is different software. You would need to install Visual Studio 2022 community edition with the .NET Desktop development package, you select this in the installer.

      I totally missed it. So much time wasted. Thank you so much.

      I now have an alert message telling I have configuration issues, with those 3 projects. Any suggestion please?

        Hello tardi44,

        It looks like you have some extra backfiles that are not needed, you can delete those files. you should just have a single NinjaTrader.Custom.csproj file in the custom folder. If you have others with backup in the name you can remove those.

        The configurations also do not matter because visual studio is not used for building the project, you just open files and save them while the NinjaScript editor is open in the background, it picks that up and compiles automatically.

          Thank you NinjaTrader_Jesse.
          I deleted the files and was able to use VS but when compiling I get this error.

          AssemblyAttributes.cs file contains:
          Code:
          // <autogenerated />
          using System;
          using System.Reflection;
          [assembly: global::System.Runtime.Versioning.TargetFrameworkAttribute(".NETFramework,Version=v4.8", FrameworkDisplayName = ".NET Framework 4.8")]
          I have duplicates files in Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\obj\ and sub-folders.
          Any way to delete everything to get a fresh start without reinstalling NT?

            Hello tardi44,

            That type of error generally happens if you have tried to build from visual studio or vs code. You would correct this by deleting the file mentioned in the error.

            You can remove the folders:
            Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\bin
            Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\obj

            and then recompile from the NinjaScript editor.
