NT8 Unable to select Server Side ATM Strategies

Hi,

I wish to have my ATM placed on Ninja's servers so I don't have to freak out when disconnected. I only have access to satellite internet and it will disconnect a few times a day. HOWEVER, the option is grayed out. What to do?

Hello,

Currently this feature is in Beta and is only available to some users to test/demo. However, ATM strategies placed without this feature will still have their stop/target orders placed and resting on NinjaTrader's servers. The limitation would be that the stop/target's OCO and any associated stop strategies would still be held on your machine.

That's the problem. If my ATM will only work when my PC is connected, then I will be subject to unnecessary losses. I understand my stop is still in place on your server, but during a disconnect, my trailing stop could have placed me in profit whereas I will take a loss instead if the trade moved in and out of profit during the disconnect. You guys need to protect our accounts better! TDA thinkorswim protects us. Maybe you guys can work out a deal with Schwab to allow us to trade off TOS! That would be the ultimate solution.
