    Issue Mapping IND Futures(IBOVESPA) or stocks(IBOVESPA) to Interactive Brokers

    Hi there,

    I have not been able to load IBOVESPA data into NinjaTrader from Interactive Brokers.

    I tried using three symbols: IND(Ibovespa futures), WIN(micro Ibovespa futures) and the stock ITSA4.

    After I attempted to load each of them I received the following message: "Error on requesting bar series: 'IB was unable to locate instrument. Please verify your symbol mapping is correct for instrument ITSA4 Default'. (As shown in the picture attached).

    Could you help me with that?

    Hello joaopaulogalvao,

    Thank you for posting.

    Within the instrument settings please enable the Exchange "Bovespa" then restart NinjaTrader and verify if you then receive data successfully. To access the settings go to Tools->Instruments->Select the instrument then click edit.

      Thank you for your reply.

      I have just done what you mentioned and still received the same error message. This time, I tried to load a random stock from Bovespa, in this case, I picked ITSA4. I noticed it had both Bovespa and Default checked. I went ahead, unchecked Default and still got the same message.

      Moreover, I also contacted Interactive Brokers to check if all the symbols that I was typing matched exactly what IB had on their servers. They sent me this link: https://www.interactivebrokers.ie/en...xchanges.php#/, and in this case, if you search in Regions >> South America and then ITSA4, it matches what I am typing.

      In addition to that, I typed different symbols from that list and all gave me the same message.

      Do you have any other suggestions for me to check?

        So I may look into this further please go to Help->Email Support and be sure to include Attn: Chris Jameson in the Subject line, a link to this thread in the body and a check in the box for "Log and trace files".
