Problem: Chart time misalignment

Hi Everyone,
The time on my charts seem to be shifted by whatever time frame my chart is using.

I have attached a screenshot of Tradingview and of Ninjatrader. Each are pointing to the same candle on a 5 minute chart of the ES.

Tradingview shows, what I think to be correct, 09:30 while Ninjatrader is displaying 12:35 (don't mind the different time zone on Ninjatrader)

This goes for other chart time frames as well. So a 30 minute chart will label each candle 30 minutes late. 1 hour chart will label each candle one hour later.

Help please!

For reference I am running Ninjatrader 8.1.2.1 64-bit on Windows 11 in VMWare Fusion 12.1.2 on an Intel Mac Mini (too embarrassed to say how old it is )

Thank you very much for your post.

NinjaTrader draws candles at the close. This means the 5-minute candle drawn at 12:05 would contain the data between 12:00:01 and 12:05:00. From 12:05:01 on it would then draw the 12:10 candle.

As this setting is preset in NinjaTrader Desktop, it cannot currently be changed.

If you would like to offset the time zone, you can do this by clicking on Tools > Options > Time zone. This setting changes what time is drawn on the chart. If set e.g. to PST, all times would be in the PST timezone.
