order handling. entry quantity

what number should i set the order handling to when i load the strategy. inside my strategy the number for the trade vary depending on the product. should i just put 999 and set to unique entries?

Which "number for the trade" are you referring to? Do you mean you want the quantity to vary or that you want to potentially have multiple entries in one direction, depending on the product?

If you set it to 999 unique entries, this would allow you to have multiple positions opened (up to 999 in the same direction long/short) but only based on unique order signal names.

thanks for the reply. i had so many trades happen. its almost like every tick a new purchase occurred. so, i put it at 1. i have my strategy's entry broken into brackets so i misunderstood that it would only let 1 bracket enter being that it had 1 for entry direction. but apparently its 1 entry per that strategy at a time. it won't overlap if the same signal happens again. and, that's what i want. so, everything is good! thanks again!
