The Zbook does not have S3 sleep available (the normal sleep we are all used to that desktops still have), only the new Modern Standby (S0) with and without network connectivity.
Without this ability of NT8 to detect S0 sleep, a series of error messages are produced: Root Element Missing.
Log sequence starts like this:
**When the Lid is Closed**
Workspace Default not saved.
**When lid is Opened, the following log items appear** (all time stamps are the same for the following error messages)
"Error parsing file.... ~BROMIUM\OrderTicket.xaml": root element missing."
..... [a bunch of other xaml files]
"Error parsing file.... ~BROMIUM\AtmGrouping.xaml": root element missing."
[Time Stamp 14 seconds later starts the following log items:]
Session Break (Version 8.1.2.1)
Global Simulation mode enabled
Using IS (is-us-nt-006.ninjatrader.com/31XXX)
Automated trading disabled
Auto Close enabled=false
Order entry hot keys disabled
Restoring workspace 'Default"...
A workaround if the ability to detect S0 sleep would be some way to manually suspend NT8 before closing the lid and going into S0 Sleep.
And then upon waking, manually resuming NT8.
Bear in mind, the above was done without a live connection enabled at the time of S0 sleep. Just a default setup to test if NT8 can resume from S0 sleep.
Apart from the error messages regarding the root element missing - xaml files, the sequence seems the same as when waking from sleep on my desktop with S3 Sleep.
Should I be worried about the Root Element Missing error messages when resuming from S0 sleep (lid up)?
