ES All Time High Data

Hello,

I've been hearing for the last week that the S&P 500 is at all time highs but when I pull up a weekly chart in NT8 (same for a daily chart) for the current contract (ES 03-24) it shows an all time high of 5033.25 from January 2022 that has not been reached yet. If I pull up the old ES 03-22 contract it shows the high at 4808.25. Any idea why there is a discrepency? Screenshots attached.

Hello Matt,

This is because of the default merge policy setting of 'Merge back adjusted'. Historical data from previous expiry months is adjusted by an offset value. The offset value if the price difference at rollover to avoid a gap in the chart at rollover.

If you like to load data in the chart that is not adjusted, please perform the steps below.

• Go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments
• Double click the ES futures
• Set 'Merge policy' to 'Merge non back adjusted'
• Click OK-->Close
• Right click in the ES 03-24 chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data'
