Confused on premium features

There’s a lot of old info and info about the web, but I can’t find info on if it’s possible to access the premium features like back testing and automated trades with script and chart trading on the desktop (was told the web doesn’t do these with script)?

also what’s the fee? I keep seeing $99 a month and free. Totally confused lol

It is free to download the NinjaTrader platform and use that.

• You'd have to pay for a real-time data subscription from somewhere
  • Data by Provider
• You'd have your broker's fees

If you had a NinjaTrader Brokerage account, then you'd have to pay for real-time data to place trades to those instruments

• If you had a NinjaTrader Brokerage account, you could purchase the Monthly or Lifetime account plan to reduce your NinjaTrader Commission rates:

  • How to Upgrade your NinjaTrader Account Plan

You could purchase the Order Flow + add-on if you wanted to use the Order Flow + Features and indicators.

You could purchase the Multi-broker add-on if you wanted to see and trade the Live account from a 3rd party broker like Interactive Brokers for example.

I’m more confused now with no direct answers
and my question is about the software not the web app or fees or much of what you posted. The web doesn’t have script testing available or auto trading the scripts.

I’ll rephrase:
is it correct to assume that it is free to back test scripts, auto trade scripts and trade directly on the chart on software desktop? (Not the mobile or app answers please, which the FAQs linked seems to cover. That is, if it’s now possible from an update to allow these things with scripts/code?).

It is free to download NinjaTrader and use the Playback feature for backtesting.

I just wanted to make sure you knew up front that depending on your end goal and what you decide to do, there may be some fees from other things you have to activate to make certain things work.
