trying to import a nt8 add on indicator

I am trying to import an nt8 add-on but keep getting the following message

This indicates that the NinjaScript item is not compatible with your version of NinjaTrader as it was created in an older release of the software. I would recommend reaching out to the vendor that created this custom add-on for an updated version of this add-on.

ok the vendor no longer supports it, doesn't use NT8 any longer. this indicator was working last year on an earlier version of NT8, can I reload an earlier version of NT and see if it will run?

We don't support previous releases of the software, but you can download the release prior to the current release from our website. Please note you'll need to uninstall the platform prior to installing the downgraded version.
