Manually drawn trendlines attach to secondary instrument in chart

Unfortunately, there is no setting to make the drawings only snap to the "Visible" data series.

However, as you found, if you put the Data Series in its own chart window without the other data series in it, it would only be able to latch to the one data series you want to draw to.

• If you created a chart with only that data series in it, it would only anchor to that data series.

If you made your Drawings "Global Drawing Objects", you could draw a line on the chart with only one data series and it would appear on all of the charts with the same data series in it:

So here is a solution:
I was using multiple instruments in panel 1, with the 2nd and 3rd instrument transparent. I moved the non-primary instruments to a new panel and then dragged the size of that new panel so that it only takes a few pixels high of screen space.

I have multiple instruments loaded on my chart because I need them to plot comparison indicators of interest. I make everything but the primary instrument transparent.

When I draw a trendline, it is often anchored to the second instrument listed in the index. As the chart begins to scroll through new bars, the trendline becomes non-sensical. So each time I draw a trendline, I have to double click and confirm which instrument it is using as an anchor. The primary instrument is different on different charts.

Is there a way to make trendlines anchor by default to the primary instrument.
