APEX Rithmic connection never complete?

    APEX Rithmic connection never complete?

    When I attempt to connect, I get the yellow status, and it never changes. Using the same credentials, I can connect using my Rithmic Trader. Furthermore, I can connect using other Rithmic connection like BULENOX, and all TRADOVATE accounts also.
    How can I resolve this?
    Does the APEX system use any other ports and IPs?​

    Welcome to the forums!

    Contact Apex.

    They are your 'broker', and your connection to Rithmic is
    from/provided by them.

    So, they are your first point of contact for this kind of help.

    PS: Have you agreed to the two documents in RTrader/Pro?

      I already contacted APEX support and together we tried everything.

        I'd be happy to take a look at your log and trace files and review your configuration settings. You can send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support. Please ensure 'Log and Trace Files' is checked to include these files. This is checked by default.

          I have already contacted your support, we found that the problem is with the ISP (and only APEX Rithmic I can't access, Bulenox Rithmic and Tradovate work)
          I would need from you which IPs and ports I need open for APEX RITHMIC (because Bulenox Rithmic works without problems).
          I have also already contacted APEX support and they referred me to you.

            Just a thought ...

            When configuring the Apex connection, I presume
            you have changed the System setting to 'Apex' as
            well, right?

            Neither Bulenox or Leeloo have paid for dedicated
            servers for their customers, so they usually use
            the default Rithmic servers, something like 'Rithmic
            Paper Trading (Chicago)' or some such.

            My point is, Apex users must specify the 'Apex'
            system in their connection configuration, otherwise
            their Rithmic credentials will fail validation, because
            only the dedicated 'Apex' system knows your user
            credentials for your Apex/Rithmic login.

            Just my 2˘.



            PS: If you're able, please let us know the solution,
            once you find it. Any info you can reveal may help
            someone else someday ...

              all connection attempts, are you able to access those
              logs?

                I found this in an older post, I would need something like this for APEX (Rhythmic) connection...

                IP's
                50.57.39.172
                23.253.217.98
                23.253.217.111

                Ports needed to access on the above:
                65000 TCP
                64100 TCP
                63100 TCP
                56000 TCP
                55555 TCP
                44444 TCP
                40000 through to 41099 TCP

                45454 UDP

                I will try to find out which ports and IP's are used by APEX connection, until then I can't use APEX connection with my ISP :-(​

                    I sent an email, included logs and traces, but got only a general response.

                      Does anyone really don't know what IPs and Ports the APEX Rithmic connection for Ninjatrader uses?
                      I still can't solve my connection problem.
                      Any ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated. (At the moment I can only connect via the rather unreliable 5G mobile network)

                          From my experience, and I've used Apex ALOT, is that your problem is you need to match the plug in mode option between R Trader Pro and NinjaTrader. So first thing you should do is restart your computer to start fresh, make sure to not skip this step or else it won't work. Then connect to R Trader Pro with your Apex Rithmic account. If you select to have plug in mode on, then make sure to do the same for your Apex Rithmic connection in NinjaTrader. Or vice versa if plug in mode is not enabled on the R Trader Pro login, then make sure it is unchecked in the NinjaTrader Rithmic connection as well. If you mess up and it's stuck in yellow again, you have to restart your computer again to try again.

                          And if all of that still doesn't work, you can always try connecting through NinjaMobileTrader VPS, I know that works well because all of us in the Apex discord group using it have never had any problems connecting to Apex Rithmic on there. They also have a very good support team help with setting up in minutes.
