Ninjatrader crashing entire system after waking from sleep

    Ninjatrader crashing entire system after waking from sleep

    I am running the latest version of ninjatrader and I have only started experiencing this issue since updating.

    When I put my PC to sleep, with ninjatrader running, I will get an absurd number (50+) of windows opening after I wake my PC and sign in. The windows are titled error and they make the entire system unusable. I cannot open these windows as the system is so unresponsive my cursor cannot even move.

    What can I do to fix this without having to nuke my settings?

    Don't let your PC go to sleep when running NinjaTrader.

    Honestly, it's not clear that NT7 or NT8 ever worked well
    when recovering/awaking from Windows sleep mode.

      Okay I can appreciate that my problem is in putting my PC to sleep while running NT but it sound as if my problem is unreasonable and its my fault that NT doesn't work properly because I choose to use it in a way which every other program I've ever used works just fine.

      Its the case that while manual backtesting through NT I cant save my progress so I put my pc to sleep. So in trying to solve an inadequacy of NT I am presented with another.

      I hope this reply doesn't serve as an attack towards you but can be used to solve these issues and make NT a better product for everyone.

        Thanks for posting.


        I can confirm NinjaTrader Desktop is not supported with Windows "Sleep" or "Hibernation" modes. Our recommendation would be to change your PC's settings in Windows to no longer enter Sleep or Hibernation mode.
