    Two different pro accounts at the same time (Topstep & Tradeday)

    Hi,
    I am trying to setup two different pro trading accounts (Topstep & Tradeday), that I can trade separately from each other with Ninjatrader. I have managed to get both connections live, but can only see the Tradeday account in NT. What do I need to do to have my Topstep account to show up as well?

    Oh, you mean 2 different 'prop' accounts, not
    pro accounts.

    I see you have already configured a Topstep
    connection and a Tradeday connection.

    Great! But, are both these connections
    using 'Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage'?

    [I will assume the answer is 'yes'.]

    If you are asking how to connect to both
    your Topstep and Tradeday connections
    at the same time, when both connections
    are configured to use the same adapter,
    the answer is simple,

    You cannot do that.

    Done. Full stop. End of story.

    Bummer.

    However, if the connections are configured to
    use different adapters, then with the Multi-Broker
    Addon, you could connect to both simultaneously.

    If one is setup for CQG or Continuum, and the
    other is Rithmic-based, then it could work, but
    this requires the M/B Addon at $99/mon.

    If you had purchased a lifetime M/B license prior
    to some magical date in 2014, you could connect
    to both Topstep and Tradeday, because the older
    'Rithmic' connection type would still be available
    to you -- that is, you'd be 'grandfathered in' and
    could setup this configuration,

    Topstep -- Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage
    Tradeday -- Rithmic

    and (because these are considered separate
    adapters) you could connect to both accounts
    simultaneously.

      What happens when you try to connect to Topstep?
      Do you get an error?

        Thank you.

        It does connect to Topstep and to Tradeday both at the same time, but the Topstep account doesn't show up in the drop down.
        I am using the Tradeday login to login to NT, maybe that's why it is limited only to Tradeday? I don't have a purchased NT license yet.

          On the Topstep connection, please make sure that Simulation is selected from the Account Type drop down. If that does not resolve this, please contact us via email and we'd be happy to look further into this. We can be reached by going to Help > Email Support within the platform and filling out the form. Please make sure to include the log and trace files, which are selected by default.
