I get this error message when trying to make adjustments to my fibonacci drawing tool. "Unhandled exception: The value "Ninjatrader.Ninjascript.DrawingTools.PriceLev el" is not of type "NinjaTrader.NinjaScript.DrawingTools.PriceLev el" and cannot be used in this generic collection" Can anyone tell me what is causing this and how to correct it?

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.?.?.?)

What Fibonacci drawing tool does this error occur for?

To clarify, does this occur when using a custom NinjaScript that draws a Fibonacci drawing on the chart or are you manually drawing the Fibonacci drawing on the chart?

What are the exact steps you are taking to reproduce the error message?

I will use the steps you share to try and reproduce the error message on my end so we may look into this further.

here is the version...8.1.1.7. What is triggering the message is trying to change a retracement after I have initially drawn it. I double click on the retracement and make changes to it. Then when I try to apply those changes I get that message. I recently downloaded an indicator package that I believe may have replaced some of the drawing tools original files. Maybe I should just reinstall Ninja?

When testing this on my end I do not see any errors occurring when changing the Fibonacci Retracements Drawing Object levels.

I understand that you installed a third-party addon that may have overwritten or replaced the Drawing Tools that come with NinjaTrader.

Please create a clean environment by following the steps below and test drawing a Fibonacci Retracements draw object on the chart followed by changing the price levels of the draw object.

Creating a clean environment can be done by following the steps below:

1. Close NinjaTrader 8, and rename the "NinjaTrader 8" folder in My Documents to something like: "NinjaTrader 8 OLD"
2. Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel and reinstall using the installer from account.ninjatrader.com
3. Add the required indicators and test the template.

If you ever need to switch back to your original platform, you may do so by closing NinjaTrader and swapping the platform folder names.

For example, Close NinjaTrader and rename the new "NinjaTrader 8" folder to "NinjaTrader 8 NEW" and the "NinjaTrader 8 OLD" folder to "NinjaTrader 8." Then restart the platform. Simply put: NinjaTrader 8 will always load the "NinjaTrader 8" folder in My Documents.

Do you see the same behavior occurring when testing this in a clean environment?

switching back to clean environment is not a solution, we are trying to create custom drawing object and want to know why this error is coming and how to resolve it. Can you please help?

Brandon's goal was to remove any custom or 3rd party scripts, or modifications to system scripts that would be causing this error.

If the error is being caused by invalid code in your custom script that you would like assistance with, please provide the line of code causing the error.
