    Strategies disabling themselves

I had my strategy set up to go live this morning. I was in a meeting so I couldn't monitor it. I had to set it long before markets open. I came back to NT Desktop and the strategy had disabled itself and no trades were placed. I'm very disappointed to have missed this morning. It's not the end of the world, but I would like to know why NT is disabling strategies without notice.

    Hello alphatango,

    Thanks for your post.

A NinjaScript strategy would become disabled if the strategy encountered an error, or if the strategy submitted an order that returned rejected, or if a connection to the data feed was lost.

You could check the Log tab of the Control Center to see if an error occurred or if an order was submitted that returned rejected, or if a connection loss occurred.

We recommend always monitoring a NinjaScript strategy while the strategy is running in case an issue occurs and the strategy becomes disabled.

How do I make this order failure auto-resolve or fix itself. I wrote an algorithm because I don't have time to babysit the markets (and platforms) all day.

The log doesn't show any disconnects or rejections. Just order changes and cancellations.

        Hello alphatango,

        Thanks for your notes.

You would first need to understand why exactly the strategy is becoming disabled.

Please send us your log and trace files to ssupport[at]ninjatrader[dotcom so we may investigate this further.

In the subject of your email include ATTN: Brandon H and in the body of the email include a link to this forum post.

Follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
        • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
I look forward to assisting further.
