    Ninja trader error submitting orders

    Was working all day and now getting an error. Says please use new OCO ID?

    Thanks for your post.

    This error occurs if an OCO (one-cancels-other) ID is reused.

    Most commonly this happens if an OCO-connected order, such as an ATM's exit orders (the Stop Loss and Profit Target are OCO-connected to ensure that only one of them executes) have already executed, while OCO is still enabled.

    To resolve this, please first disable, and then re-enable the OCO flag. This creates a new ID.

    From the help guide:

    Warning: After placing two orders within the same OCO group, it is important to disable OCO functionality before submitting any other orders. If you wish to place another set of OCO orders immediately after placing an initial set, first disable, then re-enable OCO before placing the second set of orders. This will generate a new OCO ID, rather than adding the new orders to an existing OCO group.

      Sorry I am unclear of what i need to disable?

        Hello VanessaAccra,

        Thanks for your notes.

        You would need to disable OCO by right-clicking in Chart Trader, then selecting the menu item OCO Order to disable it, or use the default Hot Key CTRL+Z.

        When OCO is disabled, no green OC box will appear in the top right of the Chart window and the 'OCO Order' right-click menu option will not have a checkmark next to it.

        Please review the 'Understanding "One Cancels Other" (OCO) orders' section of the help guide documentation linked in post number 2 which details how to enable/disable the OCO function.
