Good morning. I'm trying to migrate my scalping from another platform to Ninjatrader and am placing test trades. I placed a limit sell order this morning on ES at $4585. The custom order had a 2 tick profit target and a 2 tick stop loss. I mirrored this order on my other platform. My order filled at 7:15am CST when the price shot through $4585 in an instant and went many ticks past my stop loss. I received an error about how my OCO ID could not be re-used, and saw that my order was open even though the stop loss was surpassed. In fact, my stop loss and profit targets were both completely canceled. I had to close the trade manually. On my other platform, the identical trade closed in a heartbeat at break even.
If I want to take profits and losses at precise prices, do I need to do something different? What was wrong with my order structure and why did my closing orders get canceled?
