Playback with Range Charts

What kind of data do I need to utilize playback with Range Charts?
Individual Tick data?
I see within Documents > Ninjatrader8 > db there is minute, replay, and tick. What is the difference in these?

Market Replay data files.

Hello pattersp,

You can use Market Replay data or historical tick data with the Playback connection.

Market Replay data is stored in the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db-->replay folder.

Historical tick data is stored in the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db-->tick folder.
