FXCM Historical Data Missing

    FXCM Historical Data Missing

    Once again there is a gap today for FXCM historical data through Ninjatrader (attached image). It occured at 10:29am GMT and I believe is still not resolved now at 14:03 GMT.

    This coincided with a disconnect from FXCM at 10:29am GMT through my Ninjatrader Platform (attached image of trace file).

    I've since reconnected to FXCM but appears NT historical price server hasn't.

    As you know, these disconnects have been occuring often recently.

    So my Ninjatrader Client disconnected from FXCM and Ninjatrader price servers have disconnected from FXCM at the same time. Can you please get to the bottom of why this disconnect occured and why it continues to occur? I have been running NT and FXCM for several years and I've had more disconnects in the last few months than I've had over all those years combined.

    You re-established your connection at 16:41 GMT (attached) but the gap is evidence of the disconnect. Why did we disconnect from FXCM at this time? Both my cleint and NT's price data server?

        But why did it disconnect? This keeps happening and I'm losing connection in my client at the same time your price servers are losing connection. Can the team therefore also investigate why the disconnect happened so that it might resolve mine and other FXCM users disconnect issues, not just fix the price data loss and move on?

          Well said pmn100!

          What you are asking for is Problem Management, not just Incident Management. Given that NinjaTrader seems to have very poor IT Service Management (ITSM), if indeed any formalised ITSM framework, I wonder if that distinction is clear in the organisation, and those separate processes exist and are used. If it is and they do and they are, there is little evidence that the Problem Management process is effective, and a major review and overhaul of it by extremely capable external ITSM specialists would be very strongly advised.

          Frankly, the same applies to all their ITSM processes, including most notably Change Management and Release Management, amongst others, that frequently create chaos for the customer base.

            Happened AGAIN today. Your FXCM historical price server disconnects and my Ninjatrader client disconnects from FXCM at the same time.

            09:50 GMT 4th December

            Can someone from NT please acknowledge this issue and explain what is happening here? I don't care about the historical data, I care that my client is disconnecting.

              I am sure you are aware, but the FXCM data from today, 11:30am to 11:00pm (AU Session) is not showing... the data seems to be back now but missing most of the day.

                yup = agreed seeing the same thing here - as it is holiday in the US, I doubt much will be happening until tomorrow at the earliest
