Sharing Chart

Is it possible to share a chart with everything on it? such as colors, indicators settings etc...

Hello,

This can be done by saving the chart as a chart template, and then sending that template file to the other user.

The user can then drop that template file under Documents/NinjaTrader8/Templates/Charts and be able to load that template to any chart they would like.

Isn't it true that unless the user has the same indicators installed, it won't load those indicators?
(i.e if there is a custom indicator on the template, the shared template to another NT system the custom indicator will not be able to be loaded or shown)

Correct, the other user would need any add on indicators or scripts also installed to their platform.

Then to share a template and the indicators exporting ALL of the indicators on the chart and the template would be needed.
I know how to do this but is there an official help guide on doing this for other that may not know the procedure?

Hello,

This will vary for each user and will depend on if the custom scripts need licensed by a vendor or not, but in general you could theoretically copy the 'Bin' folder located in the NinjaTrader 8 folder to the other installation. However this will wipe any current custom scripts installed on their machine.

Otherwise the other user should install whatever scripts they wish to use before importing the other user's workspace containing those same scripts.
