Unable to update Ninja: "Ninja trader setup wizard ended prematurely"

Hello,

I am unable to install the last version of NT8 (8.1.2.1)


When i try to install it , i have a windows saying that "Ninja trader setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error (...) try to install it at a later time"

I am actually using 8.1.1.7 64-bit version with windows 10, and my systeme is updated.

What is the solution to this?

Thank you for your post.

Please ensure that all available updates for your PC are installed from the Windows Settings > Update and Security page.

Then restart your PC.

After that, try updating NinjaTrader again.

If you are still not able to update it, please start the version you currently have and email us your log and trace files right from the NinjaTrader platform (by going to Help-> Email Support), so we may investigate this matter further. Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

Try Restarting your computer. Then, run the installer / Update program prior to starting NT8.

I am having the same issue. My Win10 updates are current, and I uninstalled NT7 before I ever tried to install 8. My system has .NET 8.0.101 installed, and meets all other requirements.

I had the same issue loading onto a VPS windows 2016 server. I was able to change it to a Windows 2022 server and was able to load. They told me that Ninjatrader works better on server 2016. Im not sure if thats true or not. Seems to working fine now. If you solve the problem could you let me know as well please? Thank you
