Indicator which have disappeared but are still present

Hello, two hours earlier everything was working fine and when my platform was relaunched my indicators such as Donchian channels, volume (regardless of its form excluding vwap), Bollingers, EMAs etc. disappeared from my charts.

The indicators are still present in the indicators section of the charts and checked as visible.

Is it possible that the problem comes from ninja assembly?

I wouldn't like to reinstall it, I spent the previous month doing just that and it was very difficult to recover everything!

    Hello Max238,

    Thank you for writing in.

If you go to the Control Center > Log tab, are there any errors or messages that would explain what is happening?

If you right-click on the word "Chart" in the top-left corner of the chart and select "Duplicate Window" does the duplicated window work as expected or are the indicators still not showing?

If the indicators are still not showing, please use the following steps to send your log and trace files to the support team directly from your NinjaTrader Platform so we may investigate this behavior further:
    • Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Help > Email Support...
    • To: Set this to "Platform Technical Support"
    • Subject: Copy and paste the Forum URL
    • Attach: Attach a file, picture, or compressed file to share multiple files/pictures
    • Body: Include any other information you would like to share on the situation
    • Make sure 'Log and Trace files' is checked to include the requested files
      • Send the email
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

This happens to me sometimes with running strategies that have added various indicators via AddChartIndicator. What happens is the strategy still "works" and the indicators are running, but are invisible until the chart is refreshed (F5). I do not know why that happens. It is annoying, and sometimes leads me to not use AddChartIndicator but to add the indicators separately to the chart, but of course, that is slower since now there are two instances, and also their parameters have to be kept in sync.

Hello and thank you for your response.

I tried window duplication (because sometimes that solves the problem, I already had this experience recently) but that didn't solve anything.

I went to look in the newspaper and damn ... Is there a problem with what is called Advanced Trader or perhaps the public key?

        I attach a screenshot

Do you have any idea what Advanced Trader could be?

I had to reload the historical data, reload ninja (via the window) but nothing happened.

I tested F5 on each chart and my indicators reappeared.
          However I have no strategy,

thank you for helping me resolve the problem.

            Hello Max238,

            Thank you for the message.

You could either reach out to the developer that created that add-on and ask why these errors are appearing, or remove all of the 3rd party add-ons from your platform and reimport them back in 1-by-1 to watch for the errors to reappear.
To remove all 3rd party NinjaScript Items from the platform to start fresh:
            • Close NinjaTrader
            • Go to the Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > bin, Right-click on this folder and Rename it to "bin Old" and press Enter to save the name change
            • Now we need to Repair the NinjaTrader installation:
              • Go to the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features > Click NinjaTrader 8 > Click Repair > Click Next through the prompts until finished
            • Reopen NinjaTrader and check for compile errors using the steps below:
              • Go to New > NinjaScript Editor > Right-click on the background and Compile to show if there are any errors remaining
              • If yes, take a screenshot of the error messages and include that in your response.
If you have any further questions, please use the steps in my prior response to send your Log and Trace files to NinjaTrader support directly.

If I follow this procedure, do I lose all my workspaces and chart configurations? Thanks

                  Hello SpartanGR77,

                  Thank you for the message.

The steps above would only remove the 3rd party add-ons as that is what is saved in the bin folder.

It wouldn't affect your workspaces or chart configurations as those are saved under the Workspaces and Templates folders.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
