Plotting a drawing tool ray x bars

I see that a ray is drawn from its beginning (Point A) to its end (Point B) and this line is extended indefinitely, is there a way to choose how many bars this should be extend ? Ideally this would be an input in the drawing object property window ...

    Hello max1ci6,

    Thank you for your post.

Draw.Ray() draws a line which has an infinite end point in one direction. If you would like to draw a line which has a definite end point, use Draw.Line() instead.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

      Hello Gaby

first thanks for answering , i would like to draw the line by myself not via code , something pretty basic .... I would like a the simple line drawing tool with an input to extend the x bars from the end point .

        Hello,

Unfortunately, you would need to code a custom drawing tool script that implements this functionality, as this is not a feature of Draw.Line() or Draw.Ray().

If you are not wanting to create this yourself with our guidance through email, you can also contact a professional NinjaScript Consultant who would be eager to create or modify this script at your request or assist you with your script. The NinjaTrader Ecosystem has affiliate contacts who provide educational as well as consulting services.

Please let me know if you would like our NinjaTrader Ecosystem team follow up with you with a list of affiliate consultants who would be happy to create this script or any others at your request.

Ok , I am not code savvy enough to code it myself , I thought it was not so complicate given there is already a line drawing tool.

Hello can it be requested this feature (extension of the simple line drawing tool x bars as input) for a future built-in feature of NT?

                Hello,

We are tracking interest for this feature in an existing internal feature request ticket and I have added your vote. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-5237.
