    Market Analyzer with Custom Script

    Hi community,

I'm wondering if anyone has a way to add custom indicators to Market Analyzer.

If this isn't possible, is there a suitable workaround for tracking the indicator values for a handful of stocks, without having to have a chart up for each one of them? Even better if I can set an alert when values reach a certain threshold.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

    Thanks!

Edit: Custom Market Analyzer Column - NinjaTrader Support Forum -- This post seems to deal with what I'm talking about, although the process isn't explained. Only the result. When I try to add a column to Market Analyzer, only a preset list is available.

    Hello lunardiplomacy,

    Thank you for your post.

The Indicator list for the indicator column in the Market Analyzer window will show custom indicators, however, it will depend on how the indicator is coded if it will show up.

If this is a custom indicator that you have developed please let us know and we may have a member of our Scripting Support Team reach out.

Or if this is an indicator from a 3rd party developer then we would recommend reaching out to the developer directly for them to assist further.

      Hi Spencer,

Thank you for your response. This would be a custom indicator that I have developed.

I have attached a screenshot so you can confirm that I am looking in the right place.

I will need to update the logic to get it to do what I want for Market Analyzer (i.e., I wanted to make sure this was possible before I went into full blown development)

        Hello lunardiplomacy,

To add indicators to the market analyzer you can use the Indicator column in the dialog that you provided a screenshot of. Your custom indicator should appear there as well as long as it has a plot, a plot is the requirement for an indicator to be used in the analyzer.

Jesse -- I have many many custom scripts and most of them have plots, yet I don't see any of them in the list of options. Must the indicator have a single plot? Are multiple plots an issue? That may be a potential solve if that's the case.

I am using New Market Analyzer > Add Instrument > Right Click Instrument > Columns... to get to the screen I'm looking at. Adding location just to be sure.

I appreciate any ideas you have on this. Thanks.

            Hello lunardiplomacy,

You need to use the Indicator column to select indicators, the name of the column is "Indicator".

Were you able to get this running?
Are there any considerations for a custom indicator to use it in a Market Analyzer column?
I can't seem to find any documentation on how to do that?

                thankx
