    No connection to FXCM

    Hello everyone,

    Since today I can't connect to FXCM anymore. The light remains yellow. I haven't changed anything. Am I the only one or is this a known problem?

    Yes I am having the same problem connection and just stays there without connection.

    I think I have just about done everything with checking the firewall and restarting Ninjatrader and the Modem.

    I have just updated to 8.1.2.0 and everything was working fine before ?

    The problem started today

      Thanks for your reply. So it's not just my problem. I updated to the latest version today to fix the problem, but it still won't connect. So I think it's a server problem.... again.

        My fxcm was working ok until I upgraded to the latest version then connection was broken ? hopefully support can shed some light on it ?

          Hello,

          Do you receive an error message when attempting to login or does the connection never complete or provide an error?

            Thank you for your response,
            IN my case there is not an error message in the log, just says Primary connection=Disconnected,Price feed=Disconnected. then =Connecting, and =Disconnecting and so on. Never connected

              Hello,

              We are able to connect on our end, though it did take much longer than usual. Other users have reported that restarting the modem/router has resolved, as well as flushing DNS on their machine. It appears there may be an intermittent issue on FXCM's end causing connectivity problems. You may also want to try logging into their website to confirm.

                i have tried your suggestions and still can not connect to my live fxcm account
                when I have tried to report this to fxcm and they have replied with this ?

                We no longer advertise Ninja Trader on our website and we are able to connect Live account to Ninja on a case by case basis ?
                what does that mean ?
                they then suggested can you try to reconfigure the setting using the NT connection guide? and there are no problems their end

                they checked and replied,
                yes, our back office has confirmed this account is still connected NT,

                6:51:48 PM

                So yes, I would say next step is to reach out and ask Ninja if there is anything lacking on the connection platform end

                what do I do now ?

                      Hi All - Just posted the same. It's not your end or DNS/network issue. It is 100% their servers. The same error consistently from their side in the trace logs

                      I just posted about it there before I saw this (I did search to see if others were having the issue, but missed this post before I posted!)
