Unable to see/use simulation accounts

I recently installed NT8 and opened an account. When I go to the Accounts tab to add a simulation account, it appears but then disappears after I reconnect or restart the app.

I can't access other simulation accounts that I created either.

One thing I noticed was that the demo period already expired -- I see this when I launch the app by the Simulation button (to launch in Simulation). I used it more than 5 years ago. Could that be why?

Thank you for your post.

If you already have a live account with NinjaTrader Brokerage, and subscribe to Marked data with your live account, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->General and enable 'Multi-provider'. Click OK and restart NinjaTrader.


Then create a new connection, using your username and following this connection guide: https://support.ninjatrader.com/s/article/NinjaTrader-Connection-Guide-Multi-Provider-Mode-Enabled?language=en_US

Please make sure you do the following when creating a new connection:
1) Choose provider – NinjaTrader (not Continuum)
2) Copy and paste Username (the one you use to login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard)
3) In a field next to "Account type" select "Live"


Once connected, you should be able to see your live account and Sim101 account (plus other Simulation accounts if you've added those) in the Accounts tab within the Control Center window.

Each order entry window will have an Account drop-down menu for selection of the local Sim101 (Simulation) account or a connected live account. This menu determines which account the orders are submitted to.
