NT8 and NT7 at the same time

A long time ago, I had installed NT8 in order to migrate from NT7, but soon I realized that due to my hardware, it was better to stick to NT7. I'm thinking about trying again with NT8, so a simple question that for sure must have been done often: Can I install NT8 without causing any weird technical issues in my NT7?

Thank you very much for your post.

The NinjaTrader 7 and 8 versions can be run side-by-side on the same PC, as they will use different executables and data folders. This means it would be no problem running both.

However, most providers limit the allowed connections. This likely means you would not be able to connect to providers on both platforms at the same time. As long as only one of them connects, however, you should experience no issues.
