NT8 Erasing password to data connection

This has happened in the past where I make a change to the hardware and NT8 thinks that it is a new machine
and I have to go through the MFA to authorize the machine. Then when I do login it has erased my username/password
for my data broker.

This is annoying. Why does it do this?

Because the logins get blanked out when machine ID changes. And machine ID changes when there's hardware changes, or sometimes after large windows updates.

Only way to get it not to change that I found was by using Ninja Mobile Trader VPS. My machine ID use to change everytime I plugged in a USB thumb drive (I think my computer had lots of problems), so running on their VPS was a life saver because the machine ID has been the same for 2 years that I've been on it, and no longer need to go through the hassle of updating vendors with machine id for my indicators to work.

I feel like the machine ID is a bad way to do this. Hopefully this is all being phased out in the new licensing scheme of NT Desktop. I'm unconvinced there is a good use case for machine IDs in 2023-2024.
