Buy limit and sell limit order at the same time with an ATM strategy selected?

For example, let's say I want I enter on a break out but I also want to enter on a break down of a candle and have my order get filled depending which way the market goes. On Tradingview, I see a lot of people put both orders at the same time and when one fills, the other one cancels. On NT, when I try to put both, I get an error stating, "You can't submit an exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders has been filled." I'm not understanding why it allows me to do it without an ATM strategy selected. Is there any way at all to do this?

However, I just tried this and I noticed the other order still stays open. Is there a way to get the other order that didn't fill to get canceled when the other one gets filled?

You would have to either submit both orders as an OCO-connected order or to separate strategies to accomplish this.

In NinjaTrader, you can't place exit orders within an ATM strategy until an entry order is filled, causing the error you mentioned.
