    Centering chart on X axis

    Hello,

I would like to center the right side of my charts to the middle of the window without using "Right margin" option because when I have to pull the chart over to the right I lose the candles to the margin.

Is there any setting similar to the "Center Price on Scale" setting we have for the Y axix?

    Many thanks,

    Rick

    Hello Rick,

    Thanks for your post.

Currently, there are no options in NinjaTrader that would allow you to center the X-axis of a chart similarly to the 'Center Price on Scale' option.

I have submitted a feature request to the Development team for you so they may take implementing this feature in future versions of NinjaTrader into consideration.

This request is being tracked under the number SFT-6090.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. If implemented, it will be noted on the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.

      Thanks for the reply brandon.

I was hoping you could answer another question. Do you know whether I can change the time at which the candles are displayed. At the moment the candles are displayed relative to their closing time. I.e. On the M5 If the time was 07:55, If I hover over the candle, the time displayed on the x axis is 08:00. Is there any kind of offset/displacement method to shift this to show 07:55?

Could this be done via code?

        Hello rickesh,

        Thanks for your notes.

NinjaTrader stamps a bar with the closing time of the bar.

For example, if you are using a 5-minute chart and the bar says 8:00, this bar will contain the data from 7:55 to 8:00. The 7:55 bar will contain data from 7:50 to 7:55.

We do not have any options available at this time for changing the bars to reflect their open time instead of the close time of the bar. Using end of bar time stamps is required in order to be able to plot multiple series of differing time frames within a single chart all accurately synchronized to time.

Our Development team is tracking interest this feature in an internal feature request ticket and I have added your vote. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-3377.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. If implemented, it will be noted on the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.
