NinjaTrader not starting up after power outage

    NinjaTrader not starting up after power outage

    Hi,

    I had a power outage which shut down my computer. Once booted up, NinjaTrader doesn't anymore start up when the icon is double clicked. When looking in the task manager while starting the application, the NinjaTrader process is started but then it gets closed. Also, when looking in the log directory, a log file with session break is created, which indicates that NT8 has started up.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application multiple times, with no effect. I have also tried to redownload the installer, but no difference. Lastly, I also removed the registry information associated with NT8 too, but again this didn't make a difference.

    I'm at a loss with how to proceed here, so please advise what to do next. If needed, I can record a quick loom showing what happens.

    We'd be happy to take a closer look at this with you. We'll want to look at your log and trace files please use the following instructions to send them to our support team.
    • Open the 'Windows File Explorer' then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to platformsupport@ninjatrader[dot]com
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

    Please include 'ATTN: LUIS' in the subject line.

          Start NinjaTrader in safe mode, and create a new blank workspace. Then exit and restart NinjaTrader so it loads in the new blank workspace first.
