How to change stop order to trailing stop in Ninja trader web? Does ninja trader web has less orders types than desktop version? Is there any contact number for Ninja trade Helpdesk?

You may find the Trailing Stop settings under the 'gear' menu:



These would be the same options as available within NinjaTrader Desktop. However, their setup differs slightly.

NinjaTrader Web, Desktop, and Mobile would also share the same order types, as these are universal.

Ok, Thanks. One more question though, Lets assume I order from DOM or chart, My trailing stop was 20 ticks(existing order). Trail stop order is working but I want to change 20 ticks to 12 ticks, How do I that for existing order?

Thank you very much for your reply.

Unfortunately, it would not be possible to change the trailing stop for an already-running ATM strategy. This setting can only be changed before submitting the order.

One option when using NinjaTrader Desktop would be to use different auto trail steps. E.g. having it trail 20 ticks behind until you are 20 ticks in profit, then trailing 12 ticks behind. This, however, is not currently possible within our web application.

I understand Stop loss and profit trigger in Autotrail order but I don't understand frequency. Do you mind to explain? is it only applicable if we place more than 1 order?

Thank you very much for your reply.

I would be happy to explain this! The Frequency indicates how often the Auto-Trail triggers. If set to 1, this would occur on each tick.

If set to 4, for example, it would only trigger every 4 ticks. If the price only rises by 3 ticks and falls again, the Auto-Trail would not trigger.

Is it best to set to set it on 1 or more than that? FYI: I understand that you don't provide financial advice but I am trying to figure out strategy that can work well. I am going to use that in demo account first.

Hello Jayjo,

This would greatly depend on your trading strategy and the distance at which the Stop Loss is submitted.

However, most commonly the Frequency of 1 is being used, as this would keep the Stop Loss closest to the market.
