    How to save workspace when...

    Hello,

    I'm still zoned out from a colonoscopy I had earlier today... damned fentanyl sedative.
    While I was prepping my numbers and plots for Monday morning, I accidentally 'X' out of the control panel and selected NO to saving my work.
    I usually save routinely along the way but now I'm stuck at the mini dialogue box that asks if I want to 'run a backup now?'

    Can I somehow keep this open and save all my work?

    There isn't a way out.
    I owned my fogged-out bonehead move, I shut it down and started all over again, but an autosave feature would be helpful, as there is SOMEHOW no UNDO feature in this microsoft-inspired-over-engineered mess. Read my lips NT: LESS-IS-MORE. That, and, "Perfection is NOT achieved when there is nothing left to add; perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to remove and still have a system work flawlessly. Do you understand this? It doesn't seem like it.

    And, dear reader, if you disagree with that "over-engineered" sentiment, take a look at what it takes to simply set an alert on anything, or change the size of a font, or change the color of something... sweet Jesus, REALLY?

    Again, I fully accept that I screwed up, but I would be doing a disservice to all the many thousands of NT8 traders out there if I didn't mention the difficulties I've suddenly had this year with the platform.

    While we all appreciate the challenges NT coders must have faced and are still facing by integrating Tradovate and bringing us a mobile platform, and a consolidation of services via portal, you need to GET IT TOGETHER for the many loyal trader/customers who have been with you since the very beginning. You can start (the list of bugs, breaks, and logically-badly needed changes is very long) with the Trade Performance window NOT WORKING AT ALL. c'mon guys... NT Manager and Directors: staff up, caffeinate up, tighten up!​

    For years I have engaged in gentle nudging, wishlist creating, helpfully suggesting...
    WELL, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER WITH.
    I'm going hard core and very public with my displeasure until you simplify and fix the myriad ongoing problems --some of them brand new-- that must be fixed, now!

    I have forwarded the feature request to support an autosave feature to Development. Thank you for your feedback.

    As per the Trade Performance window, please send us your log and trace files so we can investigate why it does not work for you. You can send log and trace files from within the NinjaTrader Desktop platform at Control Center-->Help-->Email Support.

      Thank you for your response, and the add for autosave.
      The Trade Performance window is a known issue, per Platform Support.
      I won't bother with the log and trace email support, as it is not my machine that is the problem.

        YES<YES<YES! Why screw with a perfectly good platform ? This is a disaster ! Platform really sucks ,and you should not have released it before TESTING THE DAMN THING !!
