I ended up scrolling backwards pretty far and it fixed itself. Weird. But every time I hit F, it goes back to looking all crazy.

Nothing Showing up for Ticks
Hi everyone. I am rebuilding my NT from the ground up. Was dealing with alot of issues. When I try to view a tick chart it looks like this. I end up having to REALLY search for the candles. When I click "F" to be recentered. It just brings me back here. I included a screenshot of what it looks like when I do find the candles. Width set to 4 and have tried it with equidistant on and off.

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for your post.
Is it possible you have an indicator or drawing object on the chart that has the "Auto Scale" option enabled?
Auto Scale, if enabled, will always include this object within the chart window. If this is charted around the 0-mark and the price is further away, it would then shrink the chart until it is visible again.
This can also occur if you add an indicator to the chart and draw it in the same panel that does not overlay the data, but e.g. draw around the 0-value.
Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions or if you experience any issues in tracking this down!

None of my indicators have auto scroll enabled. And they are the same indicators that I've always used. Some of which are provided by ninja trader

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Could you send me your workspace? I'd like to take a closer look at what is causing this.
You can do this by going to the Control Center -> Help -> Email Support
Please select "Platform Technical Support" as the recipient and enter a brief "ATTN Manfred" note in the message.
Please also click on "Other Files" and enable the checkbox next to the "Workspace files..."
Thank you in advance, I look forward to your reply!

Yes I'll send it over right now. When I close down ninja trader and open it back up it's fine. Only does this when I load my template.
I haven't been able to create a workspace yet because I'm not able to get that far

Could it be because I had Auto Scale turned off? I just enabled it and now its fine. But I could have sworn I always had auto scale turned off

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for your reply.
If the data series is not set to Auto Scale, it could cause this, as the chart will always look for "Auto Scale" items to include them.
Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you still encounter any issues or have further questions!

Auto scale is so that when you move the candles left and right, they get taller and shorter? That's what auto scale is?

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Auto Scale, if enabled, causes NinjaTrader to zoom in or out to ensure that all items WITH Auto Scale are always visible on the chart.
I've recorded a brief demonstration of this and uploaded it below:

Okay I got you. Thank you for the info. Here's anither question for you. I have my bar width set to four. How come every time I zoom out, or I zoom in? It changes the value of the bar with set within the data series. Like if I have for my bar width in the data series set to four. I can zoom out, I can zoom in. And then when I look back in the data series it will be changed. Every time

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Would you be able to record how this occurs? While it should resize them as you zoom in, this should not 'stick' when zooming back out.
Alternatively, we could also schedule a call with one of our technicians to take a closer look at this behavior.
Thank you in advance, I look forward to your reply!

Hello Adamcoin33,
Thank you very much for the video and clarification!
This value would indeed change when zooming in and out of the chart; However, it should always return to the same value if the same zoom level is used.
In short, it only adjusts to widen the bars when you zoom in, as you would otherwise see very slim candles on the background.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if, when returning to the original zoom level, the value doesn't reset or if you have any further questions!

Okay understood. How do I know if I've returned to the same exact zoom level? Also, I'm curious what the point of changing the width in the data series is, if it's going to change when we zoom in and out. Thank you

Hello Adamcoin33,
This is most commonly used when using different chart types or display types, e.g. if you chart a 15-minute candlestick and a 3-minute candlestick chart on top of each other.
Resizing the 15-minute chart would then allow the smaller one to overlap it.
While there is no way to return to a specific zoom level, the width should always 'look' identical regardless of zoom level and would only adjust if you have more or less space available.
Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!
