Weird Ninjatrader 8 symbol switching bug

Hi,
I'm using equities feed with Kinetick with version 8.028.0 64-bit Ninjatrader and no chart template or any indicators, only bars.
Method to reproduce issue:
1) Install fresh copy of Ninjatrader 8.0.28.0
1) I create a new chart of PDD on 1 min without any addons or indicators
2) Save the workspace and close Ninjatrader
3) Restart Ninjatrader
4) Chart should have PDD loaded. Now switch to the following symbols in sequential order: AMSC, APLS, IONQ, CVNA, TGTX. You will find that you can't get past IONQ. Ninjatrader goes into a weird mode and refuses to let me switch symbols. The only way is to close down Ninjatrader and restart. It will then allow you to change symbols!

Thank you for reporting. I will create a bug report for Development. I'm able to reproduce the issue when I switch instruments by typing in the new instrument symbol on my keyboard.

If I change instruments using the instrument drop down in the upper left corner of the chart, it does allow me to switch to another instrument when the IONQ instrument is selected.

Hi Jason - thanks for confirming the issue. Any idea when the bug will be fixed and if it will be fixed in the standalone Ninjatrader version?

Unfortunately I don't have an ETA when this will be fixed. The issue does not occur in version 8.1.1.7 when I test it.

Will it be installed in the standalone version as well as the "online" version or just the latter?

Yes I noticed it quite a while ago appearing in an older version but was unable to reproduce it consistently which is why I didn't report it.

Version 8.1.1.7 is for the NinjaTrader Desktop application only.

We advise you to upgrade to NinjaTrader 8.1 to solve this issue.

Only critical fixes will be applied to NinjaTrader 8.0.
