Increasing contract size on Chart trader doesn't evenly allocate for each ATM target.

Hello.

When I increase contract size on Chart trader it doesn't evenly allocate the contracts for each ATM target.

The image is an example of an ATM I set up.
It enters with 2 contracts and exits 1 contract at each target (20 and 40) with the same stop (30) for each.
All fine and dandy so far.



However if I increase the contract size from 2 to 4 on the Chart Trader panel it doesn't evenly distribute two contracts per target.
It allocates 3 contracts for the first target and 1 for the second target.

Similarly what ever I increase the contract size to on the Chart Trader (assuming it's in increments of two) is allocates all contracts, except one, to the first target and one to the second target.

How do I get it to allocate the contracts evenly to each target.
ie: 2 and 2 or 4 and 4 etc whenever I increase the size via the Chart Trader, or can't that be done ?

Do I always have to edit the ATM strategy ? Surely not..!

Thank you for posting.

When changing the Qty manually this will automatically apply the additional contracts to the closest target and unfortunately there is not an option to allocate them evenly. You can create separate ATM Strategy templates for each desired qty allocation then prior to submitting your order select the template from the drop-down menu.
