Can I trade both an IRA and taxable account from one NT8 login?

This seems simple, but I've had trouble getting a consistent answer from new accounts and support. I trade an IRA account in NT8, with Midland as the custodian. I want to add a taxable account and be able to log in to NT8, and trade in both accounts. If not copied, at least be able to use the account drop down to have one screen open for the IRA and another for chart trading the taxable account. Is this possible? I've been advised by NT new accounts to open the taxable account with a different email address, but this seems like I would then have to log out and log back in when switching between accounts.

If this is possible, how do I go about setting it up and funding the new account?

    Hello SherwoodJP,

    Thank you for your post.

I recommend following the advice given to you by our new accounts team to open and fund the account.

If you are using NinjaTrader 8.1, it is possible to configure two 'NinjaTrader' connections and then connect to both at the same time.
You would be able to select either of your accounts in the 'Accounts' selector of the order entry screen, once you are connected to both.

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

In NinjaTrader 8 (NT8), you can indeed trade both an IRA and a taxable account from one login. It's understandable that you've received varying responses, but it is possible without needing separate email addresses.
      To set this up:
Log in to your NT8 account.
Navigate to the "Accounts" or "Account Connection" section in the platform.
Add your taxable account as a new trading account, linking it to your existing login.
