Simulated Data Feed no longer works?

In version 8.0.28.0, when running the simulated data feed, the price doesn't change on the chart, regardless of having the trend slider at max. The bars never move and new bars are not created. And regardless of whether I load a chart first, or connect to "simulated data feed" first, the chart will load historical bars that are very far away from what the simulated feed says the current price is, and current price never changes.

For example, if I load an ES chart, the latest historical bar that loads is at price 4413. If I add the Price line indicator on the chart, it shows the price line at 2407. If I enable the chart trader and monitor the bid and ask numbers, they do change and adjust as they normally would with the trend slider, and they are in that 2407 range.

So it appears the trend slider is feeding data to the chart, but it is not reflected in the bars on the chart. The chart itself is frozen, the historical bars that appear are very far from the current price line, and, while the bid/ask numbers on chart trader change, the price line and chart bars do not change.

I've never seen or heard of this before.
What is the likely cause and how do I get it corrected?

It's the weekend, did you set your trading hours to 'Default 24x7'?

That's what I usually had the instruments set for, but I guess the config file got reset at some point. Thanks.
Why would that affect whether price moves on "simulated data feed" connection?

Because that connection only simulates data according to
the hours the session is open.

        Now, why is that?

Probably so it can simulate the open and close of the
        session itself ...
