strategy copy paste issue in strategy tab to another computer

First, whoever technical guy responds, please understand my question properly. Try not to point me to documents library and instead be genuinely helpful to client here. I have seen this kind of thing by many many ninja tech support team. Hope I don't get bad treatment.


See above picture.

Question: at one computer I have 2 strategy .cs file and 3 templates prepared (saved within documents folder too).
Now, at another computer I have exact same strategy .cs file and same those 3 templates of strategies.

Now, at One computer, within strategy tab/control center, I can copy and paste already prepared strategies easily and I can even change Data series and instrument there before I enable them.

Now issue is, to do this kind of work at one computer and do the same thing again at second computer with same things saved, it's very very time consuming.

show me the way, how can I transfer those templates created with data series and instrument within Strategy tab/control center from one computer to another one?

For this copy paste is not working.

so, show me other work around.



And notably, tell me where do you guys save such created templates within strategy tab/control center with data series and instument? is that SQLITE? or somewhere else?

so, this can possibly help me to transfer all things easily from one to other computer.

Thanks for your post.

Strategy templates are saved in the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Strategy folder as .xml files.

NinjaScript strategies are saved in the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Strategies folder.

One option would be to create a backup file on your NinjaTrader platform to backup your NinjaScript Files, Templates, Workspaces, and Configuration Files by going to Tools > Export > Backup file and selecting those options. Then, the backup file could be emailed to yourself and imported on the second computer by going to Tools > Import > Backup file.

Another option you could consider would be sending the strategy template .xml file you saved over to the second computer by opening a File Explorer window, navigating to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Strategy folder, emailing yourself the strategy template .xml file and then moving the .xml file over to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Strategy folder.

The NinjaScript strategies could be added to the second computer by exporting the strategy from the first computer by going to Tools > Export > NinjaScript AddOn. Then, you could email those exported files to yourself, open them on the second computer, and go to Tools > Import > NinjaScript AddOn to import them onto that machine.

After moving the strategy templates and NinjaScript strategies to the second computer, you would need to set up your strategies in the Strategies tab of the Control Center on that second computer.
